Research Around the World

The website http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/ provided a number of information about the Australian system for early childhood education.  The site also covers a variety of topics such as codes of ethics, supporting best practices, and the latest news on current trends in early childhood.  One surprising fact that really intrigued me was learning about the state/territory branches as it relates to early childhood education. Currently Australia is in the process of drafting a mission statement for all the branches. The mission statement will address a common theme relating to the well fair of children. The common theme will include educational assessment for children aged up to eight years, environmental education, in-home and family day care, family-friendly work practices, first-language maintenance, gender equity, managing transitions, and resiliency.
In addition, the website has another noteworthy mention and that is the national quality standard section. This link on the page will allow readers to explore and read several articles about best practices, classroom management and countless information with a varying degree of information.

  1. Georgiana,
Although I have explored the same website, you have given me a further outlook on what the site also includes. Thank you for your information.
